Salt Free for 3

LOL I thought I would die after day one of eating no salt!
But it seems I survived and actually enjoyed it!
Fruits veggies and farmer's market fresh ground spices seem to do the trick!
Breakfast: 3 egg white omelette w/ spinach tomatoes and mush.
Lunch: Traditional Salad (toppings carrots, onions, fresh corn, avocado, tomatoes) with balsamic vin and olive oil
Dinner: Lemon & Garlic infused salmon w/ broc. & cauliflower mix
Lots of lemon and water
SO I was feeling snacky at 10 and I decided to do a little Zumba on You Tube...Thank God it was a very fun 10 mins of pretending like I had a hispanic salsa bone in my body!
And now I talk to you because support will see me through...
Goodnight!

Restyling my life and no one else's

so I have decided to make a life STYLE change...
Nervousness emotions have come over me
I am scared. I dont want to do this alone...
Can I do it? What am I thinking?!
Then I remember the generational inheritance that looms over my shoulders as the age 30 comes roaring around the corner...fast
Hypertension, diabetes, cancer of the blood and weak bones...
I decided that I have to tell this inheritance, nope I am not taking it.
Seemingly as soon as I started this journey people began to show their true colors.
I felt abandoned.
However, I know that God brings people in your life for a season. And that began the confirmation in my spirit that THIS IS THE TIME. The time to say I'm not taking it. I'm not putting up with half loving me. I am my best friend and so is God. I'm not putting up with loving others more than myself. I'm not putting up with poor health. I am not putting up with being someone I'm not for everyone else. I am not going to fail. I am going to be what God has created me to be.
So this decision to do better for myself came just at the right moment. The moment that I felt it WAS TIME TO TAKE MY LIFE BACK. And the journey begins...

Style Session 3- Steakhouse Glam

Soooooo tonight, I'm going steakhouse glam style...
There is nothing more amazing than a great steak with mashed potatoes. When I was a little girl, my mother made the best broiled t-bone steaks for my daddy. It seemed like every time he ate these steaks, he fell more in love with her.
She would make sure that he had the biggest piece of steak, the greenest brocolli, and the biggest hunk of mashed potatoes! Daddy always got the biggest and the best, cause he deserved it (says mommy)
Now I suppose they made it 46 years because of the steak? Maybe.....
Tonight however, I get to replicate this memory. Broiled steaks, creamed spinach and garlic mashed red potatoes. Blue salad and fresh lemonade...
Looks like I'll wear my cowgirl boots and red flannel shirt to dinner!
Bon apetit!

Style session one- Italian dinner for five?

I sometimes dream that I am an Italian who knows how to make special sauces and that all of my children come kiss me when dinner is over just because it was so good.
Lol
Last night I cooked dinner for my family on our first day of vacation.
Italian salad with capers, artichoke hearts, red onions and fresh garlic on a bed of romaine
Ok main course- pan sauteed tilapia with a shrimp + asparagus creme sauce over angel hair.
Dessert- store bought key lime pie.
It makes me happy when I hear the plates being smacked by the forks and all conversation comes to an end, temporarily.
Looks like I had a successful dinner styling session. Any suggestions for the next dinner?

Until next time,

What u choose to be

My first post and I'm excited! Maybe nervous too.
Who will read? I hear you may never know. Welcome to my page. I thoroughly enjoy styling, everything. From dinner to clothes, everything has a style. It is all up to the individual to create that style. Or if you can't at least hire someone like me. Now I change lives for a living. I inspire. I teach- yes I work at a school full time. But as my therapy, I style on the side. Maybe one day it will become my full time reality.
Where the world is my classroom. Follow me on my journey, starting today.
